Self-Access Reading Resources for L2 readers

Self-Access Reading Resources for L2 readers
Purpose: to facilitate good self-accessible reading materials (more than 30 readings) to present (future) students for the purpose of
- providing the supplement materials of a textbook (for more intensive and extensive reading)
- adding or activating the schemata of the readers (for extensive reading)
- having the students choose what they like to read on their own interest, proficiency and other needs
- having them exposed to authentic texts with authentic audiences and authentic purposes

Procedure:
-Choose the target students and curriculum (Eg. middle school 3rd Didimdol)
-Consider the purpose of providing web reading resources (eg. inclass? out-of class? or supplement for all students? or for a certain group of students? for what reasons?)
-Create your collection plot (e.g. five categories with 5 for each)
-Define your reading categories (topic-based? chapter-based purpose-based, or genre-based or
skills/strategy-based?
-Collect the web resources carefully considering your purposes, target students, and etc.
-Post your collection to your blog
